The Locanda del Lupo, built in the 18th Century by the noble Meli Lupi family, is easy to find- just a block off the plaza. The Inn is best known as a gourmet restaurant: there are a series of beautiful dining rooms with gleaming copper hanging from white whashed walls, terra cotta floors, dark beamed ceilings, antique clocks and 17th century oil paintings......
.....Intatta l'atmosfera dei bei tempi dei Principi Meli Lupi, signori di queste terre: pavimenti in cotto, soffitti con travi a vista, preziosi mobili d'epoca, e ancora del Diciottesimo secolo, coperte in lino e arredi in stile nelle camere, oltre naturalmente, al telefono, TV color, radio e aria condizionata; da segnalare la bella camera del Settecento, la suite col letto a baldacchino, lo studio arredato con stucchi e oggetti dell' Ottocento, e l'ampia terrazza verde.

Le vivande sono accompagnate dai pregiati vini nazionali della cantina. Il paesino di Soragna è un ottimo punto di partenza per escursioni di interesse storico, artistico e gastronomico: a soli 6 km c'è il paese natale di Giuseppe Verdi....
...For years Locanda del Lupo was a restaurant famous locally for its fine cousine, and appreciated as well as Parisian gastronomic critic. It has recently expanded into a hotel. The rooms and saloons are simply decorated, but are refined and comfortable nonetheless. The main attraction, however, remains the restaurant where early recipes from the archives of Prince Meli Lupi, a former resident are brillantly prepared and served. The wine cellar is well stocked. You make count on a warm welcome here.
